Greetings!

Several notes:

  1. Despite getting our entry in very early for the May 1-2 Pentathlon at White Plains YWCA, we were informed today that the Saturday portion of the meet for 9/overs was at capacity. These swimmers have been entered for Sunday’s events (5:30pm warm-up; 6:30pm start) and will receive handouts shortly and should plan on attending:

  1. The deadline for the May 4 Awards Banquet is less than a week away (April 28). A copy of the information was mailed to all families and is pasted below (however, I’m not sure how it will translate in e-mail form). We will have a copy on the web site in 24 hours. To date about 1/3 of our swimmers have replied and this is disappointing. All swimmers on hand will receive participation trophies as well as special achievement and Grand Prix Meet Awards and we also have tentative plans for a special slide and audio show.

Gael Aquatic Club Awards Party

Buffet Dinner- 6:00-7:00 pm/Awards – 7:00-8:00 pm

 

The 2004 Gael Aquatic Club Awards Party will be held in the main reception room of Spellman Hall (as you enter campus it is the large building on right with long rows of steps and pillars) on Tuesday, May 4, 2004. The party is open to all team and family members and will feature a catered roasted chicken and ziti buffet, with salad, ice tea, juices, salad, and desert with open seating.  There will be no swimming at this event. 

Cost is $20.00 per person for all who attend. Team pictures must be ordered in advance at a cost of $14.00 each. IN ORDER TO PROVIDE OUR CATERER WITH AN ACCURATE COUNT, RESERVATIONS MUST BE IN HAND BY APRIL 28, 2004.

The awards portion of the program will include the presentation of participation trophies for all team members*; Grand Prix Top 8 trophies and special coaches awards.

Please return the tear off below with the appropriate fees. If you cannot attend the event, awards will be available at the following Monday or Wednesday practice session.

*The Future Team will receive their awards at the final session on Saturday, April 17th (9:00-10:00am) practice. The only fee necessary will be for a team photo, if desired and no confirmation of attendance is needed for the Future Team finale. Photos not picked up will be mailed available at the pool after May 5.
